Overview

Dr. Tanikella practices General Pediatrics and Pediatric Integrative Medicine. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Pediatrics. She graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine, completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Montefiore, and pursued a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. She has a special interest in Mind-Body Medicine, and has additional trainings in meditation, Mindfulness, Biofeedback, Clinical Hypnosis, Reiki, and Ayurvedic Lifestyle. She also became certified as a life coach through The Life Coach School. She has been presenting lectures, leading workshops, and organizing retreats geared toward health and wellness since 2007. Outside of her work as a pediatrician, she is founder and president of a company called Integrative Approaches to Mastering Wellness (affectionately called I AM Well, MD). She uses the power of life coaching and the wisdom of mind body medicine to help adults navigate obstacles, build resilience, and achieve emotional wellness.

My goal is for you to have tools in your toolbox that you can use to improve your physical health and emotional wellbeing. Emotional well being includes improving your relationships – with family, friends, and most importantly, with yourself. We also work on increasing awareness around thought patterns that might be causing you to feel “stuck” and helping you to unravel them so that new, healthier patterns can be put into place to propel you forward.
